LCC offers a variety of options to specialize in computers and information technology.
A.A.S. in Business/Information Technology: This degree program is designed to educate and train students to have an understanding of and the ability to work with simple and complex sources of information. Successful graduates are able to apply their knowledge in ways that benefit businesses and decision-making processes from technological, financial, marketing, management or other relevant business perspectives.
The goal of the program is to provide students with the practical skills and competencies to enhance employability in business and information technology occupations.
Students may select a course of study from two options:
A.A.S. in Computer Information Systems: This degree program is designed to equip students with a broad background in applications programming systems and computer operations. The goal of the program is to provide students with the practical skills and competencies to enhance employability in IT occupations which focus on technical support. » Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems Degree Plan.

CISCO Certified Network Associate Certificate: Get the real world, in-demand skills to be successful in IT network administration in this concentrated certificate of study. » CISCO Certified Network Associate Certificate Plan.
Desktop Publishing/Business Graphics Certificate: This certificate program prepares students for jobs requiring knowledge of and skill in word processing, image manipulation, font selection and use, and other small-scale publishing tasks. » Desktop Publishing/Business Graphics Certificate Plan.
Microcomputer Applications Certificate: This certificate introduces managers, small business owners, secretarial/clerical workers, and other computer users to the full range of microcomputer software in use today. » Microcomputer Applications Certificate Plan.

Health Information Technology Certificates: LCC now offers four certificates in Health Information Technology: Design, Implementation Support, Implementation Management, and Technical Support. See Allied Health for more information. Scholarships are available.

Gainful Employment Disclosure Information
Beginning July 1, 2011, the US Department of Education requires each college to disclose a variety of information for any financial aid eligible program that “prepares students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation.” With one year of data collected, LCC has provided our current and prospective students with the best information available.
