Q: How does CCCOnline work?
A: CCCOnline allows you to register at one of our partner
colleges, while taking courses online. You never have to go to the campus.
When you register with CCCOnline, you are registering at the college you
selected. After you have finished course(s), your grades will be transcripted
by your college.
Q: Where is my home college?
A: Students select their home college from among CCCOnline's
partner colleges. If you are already a student at any one of the partner
colleges, then you can take courses through CCCOnline. If you are not,
you will need to complete an application for the partner college of your
choice. You can submit the application in person at that college's campus,
or submit it online.
Q: What are the admissions requirements?
A: Anyone, 16 years of age or older, can take courses
through CCCOnline. There are no specific admission requirements to take
courses. However, some courses may require that you have had previous
college or work experience.
Q: How do I apply?
A: To apply for CCCOnline, you should go to the Application
Page and select the college you have chosen as your home college.
Then, follow the on-screen instructions.
Q: How do I register for courses?
A: You can register for courses online or at your home
college campus. You can also use your home college's touch tone registration
system, if available.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: CCCOnline course cost $134.90(US) per semester credit
hours, based on 2003-04 tuition rates. Since most courses are 3 credit
hours, the average course will cost $404.70(US). Books and materials are
additional and there may be additional fees for some courses.
Q: Can I use financial aid with these courses?
A: Yes. Federal financial aid can be used to help pay
for courses taken through CCCOnline. For details, please visit Financial

Q: How do I attend my course?
A: After you have registered for your course, you can
access it by logging in to your course through the CCCOnline web site.
Courses are accessible on the first day of that course's session. You
will need your Student ID and your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
to get access to your course.
Q: How do the courses work?
A: Once the session begins, you will have access to your
Student Home Page, listing your courses along with some other, useful
links and an orientation course. Click on a course to enter. View a listing
of the course lessons and a menu that will allow you to navigate around
your course. You will be able to communicate with other students and with
your instructor through e-mail. You also will be able to post questions
and comments to your course’s asynchronous threaded discussion forum.,
hold virtual conversations with other classmates and your instructor.
You will also be able to post assignments through your course's Web site
and read lessons. Finally, you will be able to take exams online and get
feedback from your instructor.
Q: How long do courses last?
A: CCCOnline courses are either 15 or 10 weeks long.
Session I courses are 15 weeks and session II courses are 10 weeks.
Q: How do I transfer credits to my college?
A: To transfer credit earned through CCCOnline to your
institution, you will need to request an official transcript from your
CCCOnline home college. There may be a small charge for the transcript.
Q: Is CCCOnline accredited?
A: CCCOnline colleges are accredited by the Higher Learning
Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (formerly
called the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools).

Q: Where do I get a list of courses and
degrees?
A: You can find a list of available courses in the Course
Catalog or at CCCOnline.
Q: Can I take more than one course at a
time?
A: You can take up to the maximum number of courses allowed
by your home college.
Q: How do I take tests?
A: Tests are taken online through your course’s
Web site.
Q: I'm having trouble in my course, how
do I contact the instructor?
A: Instructors can be contacted by e-mail or through
the course’s online, web forum. If you are having trouble contacting
your instructor, you can contact the LCC
Office of Admissions & Records at 719-336-1590, and they will
help you contact your instructor.

Q: How do I withdraw from a course?
A: After the “last day to drop,” but prior
to the “last day to withdraw,” as shown on the Academic Calendar,
you can withdraw from a course. Withdrawing may not entitle you to a refund
of your tuition, but it does allow you to get a "W" instead
of another grade.
Q: How do I drop a course?
A: You can "drop" a course with a full refund
of your tuition prior to the “last day to drop” by going through
the “add/drop” process. You also can drop a course by going
through your home college's telephone registration system or by going
on-campus. If it is after the last day to drop, you will need to withdraw
from the course.
