Business Tech Club

"BROADENING HORIZONS THROUGH BUSINESS EXPLORATION"

The Lamar Community College Business Tech Club is dedicated to the fellow student who is unsure of his/her career path. We are not merely here for business students but for any student, in any degree program. The purpose of the club is to explore different career worlds and embrace entrepreneurship.
- Meetings are directed according to parliamentary procedure. Guest speakers share their business knowledge.
- Entrepreneurs teach us that all we need is an idea, ambition, business savvy and the will to succeed. We get a firsthand look when we tour businesses founded by entrepreneurs.
- Club members learn networking skills via fundraisers and volunteer work.
- Each year the members choose which activities they wish to pursue. In recent years the club has toured Sun Micro Systems, Dragon Wind, the Pepsi Center, and USBANK. Other activities include movie nights at the dorms, rodeo concession stands and campus trash pick-up.
Upcoming Activities
- May 1, 2010: Battle of the Bands Fundraiser
