Student Services Guide

LCC provides all its students with the support they need to succeed. Please review the following brief but comprehensive listing of student services. If you require additional information, please contact the resource directly via our phone directory or ask your academic advisor for help.

Admissions

Lamar Community College offers pre-admission counseling on course offerings, costs, housing, athletics and activities, scholarships and financial aid, and other related issues. Please contact the Admissions Office, at 719-336-1590 or by email admissions@lamarcc.edu.

Campus Bookstore

The Campus Bookstore is stocked with essential materials necessary to meet course requirements such as textbooks, paper, course kits, and other supplies. In addition, it also carries a variety of clothing items to display college spirit as well as food items.

Campus Health Center

The LCC Campus Health Center provides ambulatory healthcare services and offers health education programs to help students, faculty, staff, and their families achieve a healthy life. Our goal is to provide accessible health services to students at a reasonable cost and/or make referrals to the appropriate entities. The Health Center may be reached at 719-336-1683. All individual medical information is confidential. Alcohol and drug counseling also are available by referral to the Drug Free Colorado Program.

Learning Support Services

Learning Support Services/TRiO advisors are available career assessment, academic and personal counseling, and crisis intervention. These services are free of charge and confidential. Referrals for additional counseling services are available. The counselors’ offices are on the first floor of the Bowman Building. Educational Opportunity Center

The EOC provides FREE assistance and information about educational opportunities to adult community members who are low-income and/or first generation. We also assist high school students with parent consent. This program supports students from beginning through transfer to 4-year universities. Financial aid

The Office of Financial Aid in the Student Service Center administers federal, state, and local scholarship and financial aid programs and information. For more information about financial aid at LCC, please contact the Director of Financial Aid at 719-336-1590 or by email aid@lamarcc.edu.

I.D. cards

Lamar Community College issues photo I.D. cards to all full-time students and to part-time students on request. These cards are needed when checking materials out of the LRC and for free admission to most College-sponsored events. I.D. cards are available through the Cashier's Office in the Student Service Center.

Motor vehicle registration

Students enrolled at LCC who park on campus or who make use of the dormitory parking area must register all vehicles, including trailers, with the College. Parking stickers are available through the Cashier's Office.

Transfer counseling

LCC's transfer coordinator can be of great assistance in planning the next step in a student's educational pursuits. Registration & records
