LCC Student Video Contest

Think Outside the Box & Win Big

Lamar Community College invites its students to submit entries for our STUDENT VIDEO CONTEST to illustrate your creativity & pride in our college. The contest is open to all full and part-time LCC students (including its dual credit and ASCENT students).  

Video submissions should promote an LCC club, program, department, sport, or other campus organization and/or encourage a sense of overall campus community pride. 

LCC’s Student Government Association is sponsoring the contest with:

$300 – First Prize
$200 – Second Prize
$100 – Third Prize

Email webmaster@lamarcc.edu if you intend to submit a video before the deadline. Additional updates and support may be available to you. Final entries must be submitted to webmaster@lamarcc.edu no later than Thursday, March 31.

Contest details include:

  • Creativity and/or humor are encouraged.
  • Videos can be created using a student’s personal equipment/software. Students may also use LCC computer labs (Betz 203, 231) for video editing. Lab computers are equipped with Microsoft Movie Maker. LCC does not have video equipment to loan.

Video submissions must:

  1. Reflect the college, staff/faculty, and/or students positively.
  2. Respect copyright law. Please do not use copyrighted without the permission of the artist.
  3. Contain no profanity, nudity, or defamation.
  4. Include completed and signed release form for every identifiable participant in video.
