The entire community is invited to the first annual Back-to-School Community Block Party! Join us on Main Street in downtown Lamar on August 22 from 5-7pm. This event is completely FREE and open to the public. There will be free food provided by Brew Unto Others, a DJ, dancing, free face painting, and drawings for prizes including two $250 scholarships to Lamar Community College! We would love to see you there.
Community organizations or businesses are invited and encouraged to set up a booth at the block party. While this event is not intended as a place for businesses to sell items, it is a great way to embrace students, welcome them into the community, and explain what your business or organization has to offer.
