Coordinator of Adult Transition Services: Full-time position (twelve-month contract).

Responsibilities: This position will serve as the college’s chief GED examiner, assistant to the director of
Adult Transition Services (ATS), and WorkKeys program coordinator. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Serve on appropriate college teams, including AQIP and other internal committees, and perform other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities include:

Chief GED Examiner: Responsible for all administrative functions including ordering materials, scheduling testing, submitting required reports.

ATS Assistant: Act as TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education), BEST Plus (oral English proficiency test), and Pre-GED test examiner. Assist with program reporting and marketing, as well as order program materials and supplies. Perform program record keeping in coordination with director. Potential for teaching assignment, based on workload.

WorkKeys Coordinator: Develop and implement, in coordination with the Colorado Workforce Center and area high schools, a successful WorkKeys program.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field required; master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage projects necessary for the success of Adult Transitions Services is required. Literacy Instruction Authorization (LIA) Certification or ability to acquire immediately also required. Experience in office/program administration preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to interact and coordinate efforts with college staff and area agencies are necessary. Prior teaching experience including ESL/ABE/GED instruction is recommended. English/Spanish bilingual is desirable.

Compensation: $30,000 plus other benefits that accrue to full-time administrative positions within the Colorado Community College System. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding.

Title III Activity Director: Part-time, twelve month position to manage daily aspects of the College’s five year (October 2008-September 2013) U.S. Department of Education Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant. Position provides leadership and support to program specialists designing and implementing programs, under the guidance of the Title III Project Director.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Project Director and with the assistance of the Title III Assistant, the Activity Director plans, initiates, implements, evaluates, revises and re-employs a full range of activities relative to the Title III Grant. Position supervises program specialists and evaluates their performance, including hiring activity staff. The Activity Director facilitates grant-related meetings with staff. The position assists PD with project evaluation and support program specialists and pilot faculty in designing, developing, and testing instructional applications as necessary and appropriate. Aids the PD with tracking grant implementation and monitor budget and expenditures as well as project purchasing. Assists PD with preparation of internal and external reports. Other Title III duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in higher education or related field required. Three years teaching experience at community college level. Experience in grant /program administration desired. Knowledge of community college mission/goals, ability to relate well with faculty, staff, and administration, knowledge of budgeting. Must be a positive self-starter with excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: $18,750-21,000 plus benefits that accrue to part-time administrative positions within the Colorado Community College System. Position is contingent upon continued Title III grant funding.

Title III Program Development Specialist: Part-time position to manage daily aspects of the College’s five year (October 2008-September 2013) U.S. Department of Education Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant. Provide leadership and support to program specialists designing and implementing programs.

Facilitate grant-related meetings. Other grant duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in higher education or related field required. Three years curriculum development and teaching experience at community college level, preferably in technical education. Five years project, personnel management experience at post-secondary level. Knowledge of community college mission/goals, ability to relate well with faculty, staff, and administration. Must be a positive self-starter with excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: $18,750-21,000 plus benefits that accrue to part-time administrative positions within the Colorado Community College System. Position is contingent upon continued Title III grant funding.

Information Technology Director: Full-time, twelve-month position provides direct and indirect hardware and software support to students, faculty and staff. The director administers IT resources on campus including LAN/WLAN/desktop hardware and software, network management, data backups, and telephone support for general IT issues. The position reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services. It provides technical expertise in supporting all aspects of Information Technologies and makes recommendations on new and emerging technology to senior staff. Director works with administrators and faculty to provide appropriate and reliable instructional technology. Teaching and training assignments may be required. Position includes some evening, weekend, and ‘on call’ work.

Responsibilities: Emphasis of work includes:

• Work directly with college’s senior staff, Faculty Senate, community members and organizations to determine appropriate technologies to support a quality instructional environment for students;
• Supervise IT staff and work studies;
• Configure, manage, and monitor network/system resources. Identify, diagnose and resolve network issues. Develop and maintain Cisco data and voice networks and information security functions;
• Develop and maintain procedures to insure the integrity and usability of IT resources;
• Plan and perform hardware/software installations, upgrades, and modifications for network enhancement;
• Make technical recommendations for products needed for new LAN/WAN installations and/or modifications to existing LAN/desktops;
• Collaborate with other departments on computer and telecommunications requirements;
• Teach appropriate trainings/courses;
• Serve on appropriate college teams, including AQIP and other internal committees; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field. Relevant education/experience in the appropriate technical areas may be considered as a substitute for formal education.

Three years of experience with current industry technologies that include experience with Cisco Unity, Call Manager, Cisco switches and routing series 6500, 3560, 4500, Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office, Macintosh OS-X, VPN, Network Printers, and video surveillance systems.

Experience with network design, project management, balancing multiple projects, technical staff management, problem analysis and/or troubleshooting hardware/software. Additional experience in LAN, wireless systems, video conferencing, fiber optics, large platform switches, layered routers and switches with a primary emphasis on Cisco products.

Excellent communication skills necessary to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with faculty committees, administrators, departmental stakeholders, vendors, and CCCS IT personnel required.

Assignment may include some evening, weekend, and ‘on call’ work. Director must average 30 minute response time.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and education, plus benefits that accrue to full-time administrative positions within the Colorado Community College System.

Nursing Instructor: Full-time/166 day faculty contract (9 month position)

Responsibilities: The position is responsible for delivery of instruction to students in LCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program; it includes clinical supervision, student advisement, and participation in department, divisional, and college-wide activities, curriculum and professional development. Teaching assignments may include alternative delivery settings, i.e., synchronous, self-paced, tutorial, evening and weekend offerings. The faculty member functions as a team member in both the Nursing program area/department and the instructional division and serves on appropriate college teams; including AQIP, Faculty Senate, and other internal committees; and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing and two years experience in clinical nursing practice required. Must hold an unencumbered Colorado RN license or a license from a compact state. Must have or be able to qualify for a Colorado Vocational Certification.

Compensation: Competitive salary (commensurate with level of education, skills and experience) plus benefits that accrue to full-time faculty positions within the Colorado Community College System, including health, life, and dental insurance, LTD, and benefit package from Colorado PERA in accordance with SBCCOE policy. Example: $45,000 plus PERA/benefits = approximately $56,250 or $42.36/hour.
