| Lamar Community College makes its educational
resources available to citizens throughout Southeastern Colorado through
on-campus classes and outreach programs in Prowers, Baca, Kiowa, and Cheyenne
Counties. These classes serve the educational needs of individuals who
are unable to devote themselves to full-time study. They include professional
skills classes, core curriculum classes for academic transfer, avocational
classes, and on/off campus evening/weekend associate degree programs.
Dual credit
Dual credit (or Post Secondary Educational Opportunities) courses enable
high school students to receive, simultaneously, both high and college-level
credit. The primary purpose is to deliver high-quality college experience
to high performing high school students. These courses challenge the student
in rigorous college-level coursework. To be eligible, students must be
16 years of age and be in their junior or senior year of high school.
Specific placement tests may be required for admission to some college
courses. Contact Maggie Pacino at 719-336-1584 or Maggie.Pacino@lamarcc.edu.
