Our fourth annual Girls in the Middle Conference in Lamar is just weeks away! The conference is a one-day event to introduce middle school girls to careers in Science, Math, Technology and Healthcare. Professional women will lead interactive, hands-on sessions for exploration.
Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Bowman Building and the conference will kick off at 8 a.m. The conference ends at 3:00 p.m. at the Bowman Building. Student registration is $5.00/person.
The Conference also provides a program for adults who accompany the students. Adult registration is $5.00/person. There will be a variety of subjects.
The Girls in the Middle committee is relying on your support of this conference. Built on a proven and popular format and formula, this is an excellent opportunity to empower girls to look beyond "traditional" female occupations to make an informed decision about their futures. Participation in this conference during their middle school years encourages girls to stay engaged in math & science and plan their high school courses accordingly.
Please help us to build this valuable experience in our area. Consider sponsoring a student, attending the conference, being a presentor, or donating to the Conference.
