International Programs: Events

Sharing Your Culture

Part of the requirements of studying in the United States may be that you share your culture by volunteering in the local community.

Learning about the American Culture

While attending Lamar Community College you will have many opportunities to learn about the American culture. It is encouraged that all International Students join one of the many student organizations, including the Multicultural Club which takes trips to area points of interest and plans events that promote different cultures. LCC's Student Government Association sponsors many events throughout the year, including comedians, hypnotists, bowling nights, board game nights, movie nights, and many more.
