All students must submit an Application for Admission and immunization records prior to registration. The application is the Uniform Application for Admission form used by Colorado community colleges and may be obtained from high school counselors or directly from the College.
Application Requirements
High school students
- Submit completed application form (hard copy) and immunization records to Student Services. The application can be completed on line alternatively.
- Request that the high school forward final official transcript.
General Education Development (GED) Certificate students
- Submit completed application form (hard copy) and immunization records to Student Services. The application can be completed on line alternatively.
- Submit a copy of the GED test scores.
Home school students
- Submit completed application form (hard copy) and immunization records to Student Services. The application can be completed on line alternatively.
- Submit results of a nationally standardized achievement test.
- Submit transcripts from any high schools attended.
Re-entering students
- Students who are returning after an absence of more than one year or two semesters (including summer) must complete a new application form (or apply for readmission on line).
- If considering transferring credit hours from another institution, read “transfer students” section.
A student who has a break in enrollment of two consecutive semesters or more, including summer, must meet catalog program requirements in use at time of readmission. If Lamar Community College has discontinued or has given notice of discontinuance of the program in which the student was previously enrolled, the student cannot re-enroll in that program.
Transfer students

- Request that each college or university previously attended send official transcripts.

Athletes
- Submit completed application form (hard copy) and immunization records to Student Services. The application can be completed on line alternatively.
- Request that the high school forward official transcripts to the Lamar Community College Office of Admissions.
- Submit medical examination report. (The student’s own physician should complete this examination well in advance of registration time, and the athlete should forward the report to the respective coach at or before the time of registration. The medical examination report form can be obtained from the respective coach.)
International students
- Submit completed application form (hard copy) and immunization records to Student Services.
- Submit a copy of high school transcripts in English. All transcripts not originally in English must be translated by an outside service, in example, University Language Services. All university transcripts must be translated and converted by an outside services, in example, World Education Services (WES).
- Submit evidence of ability to pay costs of education.

Special needs students
Lamar Community College provides needed accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Documentation must arrive to the College no later than two weeks prior to assessment and course enrollment. Veterans
Lamar Community College cooperates with the Veterans Administration and with the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training. The College is approved for training of veterans under all applicable laws. Veterans or eligible persons are cautioned to obtain proper counseling and to complete proper registration at the College to assure their courses of study are approved curricula.
