Financial Aid Information

Students who feel they may need additional resources to fund their educational costs are encouraged to apply for financial assistance. The financial aid staff will make every effort to utilize state, federal, and private resources effectively to meet a student’s documented need. Student financial aid is awarded after the student has been accepted for enrollment and has completed the financial aid application process. It is strongly recommended that a student applying for the upcoming Fall semester apply and complete all paperwork by April 1st.

Detailed information on all financial aid programs is available on request from the Office of Financial Aid, located in the Student Services Center (Betz Technology Center). For more information, please contact Teale Hemphill at 719-336-1590 or aid@lamarcc.edu.

For a complete list of financial aid options and requirements (including veterans) and restrictions, download the LCC Financial Aid Handbook.

Application procedure for need-based financial aid
Lamar Community College utilizes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for determining the student’s eligibility for “need-based” financial aid. Students may also apply online via the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Online application is recommended, since it has a much shorter processing time. Hard copy applications are also available in the LCC Office of Financial Aid or high school counselor’s offices. In whichever form it is submitted, the FAFSA application should be completed as soon as possible.

Supporting documentation: If your FAFSA has been chosen for verification, download and complete the appropriate form below and submit to the Office of Financial Aid to speed up the financial aid process.
