Service Area LCC Scholarships
LCC is investing in our communities by offering $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors and ASCENT students from Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa, and Prowers Counties and/or SE BOCES member districts. This one-year scholarship has no GPA requirement.

LCC offers a variety of Ag Department and Rodeo scholarships.

The Lamar Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1974, which receives gifts, bequests, and donations for the College, many of which provide necessary scholarships. The Foundation actively seeks donations from interested parties. Please contact the Foundation Office at 719-336-1511.
Spring 2012 Daniels/Community Scholarships: The LCC Foundation has Daniels Opportunity Fund scholarships available for the the spring 2012 semester. This includes EMS Scholarships. January 31, 2012 application

2012-2013 Presidential Scholarships: The Foundation solicits donations from community members, businesses and alumni for academic merit scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors. March 1 application
NEW! 2012-2013 Community Scholarships: The LCC Foundation administers several community-supported scholarships through its Community Scholarship application. With one submission, a student can apply for all applicable awards. April 30 application
LCC Runnin' Lopes Booster Club Scholarships: The LCC Runnin' Lopes Booster Club is pleased to offer $1,000 scholarships to current and incoming student-athletes for the 2012-2013 academic year. February 15, 2012 application
Lamar Community College offers a number of other scholarships. Students with good high school records or other demonstration of academic achievement should contact the Office of Admissions for scholarship information. Scholarships are awarded on academic merit, proven abilities in athletics, and in other talent areas.
NEW! Kane Family Foundation LCC/UCCS Scholarships
The Kane Family Foundation offers two scholarships for students intending to attend LCC then transfer to the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for up to a total of eight semesters or four years of tuition and fees (2 years at LCC / 2 years at UCCS).

The following scholarships have been submitted to LCC for distribution to current and prospective students. They are not endorsed by Lamar Community College.


Walter Ely Memorial Scholarship:
$500 scholarship in memory of local resident Walter Ely, known for his can recycling. Essay application due May 7. See Scholarship flyer for additional details.


Campus Explorer Exclusive Scholarship:
The Campus Explorer Exclusive Scholarship is a monthly $1,000 giveaway designed to help students pay for their  higher education expenses. Every month, Campus Explorer will announce a  new scholarship – and a new way to win. A winner will be randomly  selected from the entrants. The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and the  District of Columbia who are at least 16 years old at the time of entry. Students must be enrolled in college for the current or following term and are required to provide proof of enrollment.


Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program:

Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with their scholarship program for the 5th year. The firm will award up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. Students submit an essay on the topic that appears at www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm. Full details are available on our site. Scholarship Deadline   -  June 15, 2012.


Elkhart (KS) Coop Scholarship:

The Elkhart (KS) Coop is offering a one-year $2,000 scholarship to an undergraduate student pursuing an undergraduate degree in an agricultural, agribusiness or an ag vocation field. Applicant must be entering his/her second year (or higher) and be willing to work for Elkhart Coop in a 8- week summer internship. Elkhart Coop has locations in Baca County (CO) as well as Morton County, KS and the Oklahoma Panhandle. Applications must be postmarked by February 10, 2012.
