Campus Closure as of March 27, 2020

IMPORTANT: At this time, please monitor our Coronavirus COVID-19 Information page for all campus closure updates. As of March 27, 2020, there are no reported confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Lamar Community College. LCC is operational. On March 26, Governor Jared Polis issued a statewide Stay at Home Order effective 6:00 am, March 26, 2020 – April 11, 2020.

In cases of inclement weather, Lamar Community College follows the Campus Closure Process.

College facilities and safety personnel will monitor weather, road conditions, and parking access in order to provide updates to the college president, who makes the final decision about campus closures. In times of inclement weather, the following process will be followed:

  • Morning closure decisions will be made by 5:45 am and shared to local radio, on the college website/social media, and added as a message to the Campus Closure Line (719-336-1515) no later than 6:00 am.
  • Mid-day closure decisions will be made on an as-needed basis and shared to local radio, on the college website/social media, and added as a message to the Campus Closure Line (719-336-1515) within 15 minutes of a closure decision.
  • Evening closure decisions will be made by 2:45 pm and shared to local radio, on the college website/social media, and added as a message to the Campus Closure Line (719-336-1515) no later than 3:00 p.m.
