Nursing Pinning Ceremony

The Nursing Pinning Ceremony is a very important event in the life of a nurse. Even though we couldn’t be together for this event, we still want to celebrate the accomplishments of our second year nursing students. Below are links to two videos, one is the ceremony and the other is a slideshow. Enjoy – and congratulations!

81st Commencement Ceremony

Updated Ceremony plans due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Despite our hopes for one last gathering to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates, we made the difficult decision to cancel in-person events through the end of May. This includes year-end celebrations such as the 81st Annual Commencement, Antelope Night, and the Nursing Pinning Ceremony. We are disappointed, but believe this decision is in everyone’s best interest.

Instead of in-person events, our Commencement, Antelope Night and Nursing Pinning ceremonies will be placed on this page. The Class of 2020 will be able to view speeches, see their names in our slideshow, and see and hear from fellow graduates as well as faculty and staff. We will also be mailing diplomas/certificates, official transcripts, and diploma covers so we ask for graduates to please make sure their mailing address is correct in their student portal. We also encourage faculty, staff, and students to use #LopesGrad2020 when posting your recognitions on your personal social media accounts so we can all join in the celebration.

The graduates of 2020 and their family and friends are invited to return to Lamar Community College to participate in the 82nd Annual LCC Commencement Ceremony on May 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the LCC Wellness Center. If graduates are able to attend, we are planning a special recognition for the Class of 2020 during the 2021 ceremony. More information will be provided next year. #LopesStrong
