LCC’s average class size is 12 students.  This means that you will receive more individualized attention from your instructors, get frequent chances to participate in class discussions, and have a real sense of being part of a cohesive learning group.

Convenient Schedules

LCC offers convenient day and evening schedules for traditional courses, as well as some specialized weekend courses.  Additionally, you may enroll in online courses, offering additional flexibility for your busy schedule.

Low-Cost Tuition

Tuition for Lamar Community College is only one-third to one-half the cost of many other colleges, which means you will get more for your money at LCC.

Financial Aid

Most LCC degree-seeking students receive some form of financial aid, which pays for a majority of their direct educational costs.  Federal and state money is available, based on financial need.  LCC’s financial aid counselors can help with the application process.

Individualized Schedules

At LCC, students can take a single course or enroll full-time.  We also offer study skills courses and workshops along with personal tutoring.

Credit for Acquired Knowledge

Get more from what you already know with LCC’s Assessment of Prior Learning  and Alternative Credit programs.  We can help you obtain credit for previously acquired college-level learning in life, on the job, or in the military.  Ask an LCC academic advisor or transfer counselor for more information.

Academic Advising

LCC’s academic advisors can assist you one-on-one with course selection, degree planning, and other academic questions.  They also can help you take advantage of available learning resources and support.
